About Me
Hello! I’m Nancy
Realistic Painter with Passion for Nature’s Beauty and Everyday Life.
Nancy is a realistic artist using mainly acrylic. Her passion for nature’s beauty and everyday life reflects peace and harmony in her collections.
She can’t remember a time when she wasn’t drawing or painting, preferring pencil and paper over toys. She started selling her paintings and producing commercial signs for local stores by the age of thirteen.
A relentless competitor, her works were often on display at the CNE, including a poster designed for Forestry. Her fashion designs were published for an American comic strip character and she submitted her design for the St. Lawrence Seaway Logo Competition (a competition intended for professionals). The Toronto Star featured her on the front and inside pages of their weekend edition as a talent to watch. She also enrolled in life drawing classes at OAC (Ontario College of Art). While she went on to pursue a different career path and marriage, she continued to dabble creatively, selling her crafts in Toronto stores and assisting in educational arts programming.
Nancy’s art was most recently seen at:
Whitby Library
Oshawa Peony Festival
McLaughlin Art Gallery
Rotary Whitby OnLine Art Exhibition (fundraising)

Now with more time, she is devoting her passion to painting and drawing. Her love and appreciation for life is reflected in each picture as she captures the essence of nature’s bounty and everyday life. Primarily self taught Nancy continues to take courses to even further her skills and is grateful and gives thanks for guidance to mentors David and Chrissie Wysotski.
